the hardest part to living-in my opinion-is the inability to accept constant tragedy. it is unavoidable;as is the onset of denial within circumstance.

it's time to take advantage of film. I'm predicting that in the next couple of years, most printing shops-even the generic ones (like walgreens, CVS, etc.)-will be shut down. even though buying and developing 35mm photographs is expensive... I am sure it is worth the fat dinero to have the experience and memories.

I have been having a difficult time thumbing down the true purpose of riding a fixed gear bicycle. the risk involved hardly seems worth it to me (blown knees, no brakes, etc.). BUT THEN: I stumbled upon a video that gives a wonderful example of what a fixed gear bike is REALLY made to do. hilarious. yet, so beautiful.

Sunday, bloody Sunday.

who isn't happy when it's 70 degrees and sunny in the middle of December? there was only one way to start (or... er... continue) my Sunday correctly-and it was with a bloody mary at Frank. you've seriously never had a bloody mary like this one before. bacon infused vodka... with bacon, cheese, olive, and jalapeno garnishes-plus, a side car of lone star. delicious. mixed with beautiful sounding acoustics at Medici, and you've got yourself a perfect Sunday. of course, bikes were involved... and it helped to end the evening with a little ski ball (and of course, a little more Lone Star). cheers to the warmth.

today I realized how insignificant these words have been, and how frivolously I have spent time documenting only mere moments in my life. every single emotion comes... and then it goes-with no reason to burden others with my outbursts. I'm not sure how many people actually stumble across this blog, but for those that have-I apologize for the lack of substance I have presented. this was made as a narcissistic outlet to ensure an audience to my pathetic woes in life. I am a little more enlightened within my cloud of naiveté; and am hoping I can make better use of a slightly useless (and still wholly narcissistic) internet space.

with all of this said:

my name is Dani. I ride a bike almost everywhere; I make images on my obnoxiously large and painfully outdated DSLR; I would like to consider myself an artist-although, I take few steps to focus myself in that area; I'm a fairly adventurous person who doesn't mind lazy days at home; I rarely feel guilty; I'm boy crazy; I listen to music whenever it's not rude to block the world out... and even sometimes when it is; I do normal girly things, but I'll surprise you with how odd I can be; I have changed recently, and no-I don't know in which ways yet.
